Cookie Monster!

When I was pregnant with Porter, I think I made a batch of cookies each week. Which is not normally like me. I am not a huge cookie fan, I can usually pass up a cookie offer. But he sure made me love them then, and the love for cookies has for sure grown for Mr. Porter! He LOVES cookies!!!
I was asked to bring cookies to enrichment last night. So I made these cookies yesterday during the kids nap. He for some reason didn't notice them last night. But first thing this morning before breakfast he spotted them and asked for a cookie. I told him after his lunch so.....
Cute boy hiding behind his milk. He is not into pictures these days. Nap time, which means I get to enjoy my "MOMMY COOKIES" (0ne cookie I could never pass up!)
TGIF, you deserve a COOKIE!

Hi!

I was never very good at letting Porter eat all by himself. I was in to much of a hurry, wanting no messes and to make sure he was getting enough to eat. And lets just admit it, I am a control freak over things like this. So yes, I spoon fed him way too much. It took everything in me today to let Ellery eat her lunch all by herself with no help from me.

Yeah Ellery!
Psyche, but she's getting close!!
And I don't know about anyone else but this picture makes me chuckle!! Not much difference in size between my 26 month old and my 9 month old!!!
Porter: 28lbs. 36in.
Ellery: 23lbs. 30in :P
(Don't mind Porters grumpy face, right before the picture Elle was trying to steal his car!)
OH and HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! (on Monday)
I really had a birthday weekend. On Friday my friend Sarah offered to babysit while Jason and I went out. When we left she said "Have fun, do something crazy!" So we did just that! We went to dinner at Potbelly's (awesome sandwich place with yummy malts) then we had to run some errands (You know, get diapers so our kids could have some in the morning!) Then we decided we wanted desert, the malts weren't enough. So we headed to TGI Fridays and we ended up having a second dinner. Not really but we ordered an appetizer, a side of french fries and a desert! Thats my kind of CRAZY!
Then on Saturday night my girlfriends took me to the FUNNEST place ever! It's called Ed Debevic's. HOLY COW I felt like I was on the set of Greese!!!! It was so much fun being in the city and in this old diner, where all of their employees were in the 50's style. They danced on the counters and the waiters put on an act of not being very nice, annoying, funny, etc. It was such a crazy fun place! Here is our crazy waiter!
Oh and don't worry, here he is singing an impromptu birthday song for me in front of the entire restaurant! It was such a BLAST!

Blankets and Curls!

This little boy has had quite the attachment to his blankets lately. Every morning when we get him out of his crib he has to get it out with him, he watches TV with them, he plays cars on them. He even tries to take them when we are heading out the door.
And look what we did with little miss today! We started with the larger ones. (Purple)
Then this happened....
So we went to the small ones. (Pink)
And as Porter would say TA-DA!!
She looked so stinking cute all day!

BE MINE

Hope your Valentines Day was as good as mine. I loved my homemade flowers (this picture doesn't do them justice) and my heart-shaped cake. My mom used to make us heart-shaped cakes when we were little. When I found this cake pan at Goodwill for $.99 I had to have it. XOXO

LOVE bug!

This last picture melts my heart. The look on my baby's face could not get any CUTER!
For Jason's birthday he received some money from our parents. And got a great deal on this guitar that he has been wanting for quite some time. Our little Ellers was up late with us last night when he brought out the guitar and started to play Jonas Bro's LOVE BUG (one of my favs!) and started whistling the song to our baby girl and she was HOOKED. She just kept clapping and cooing and smiling at her daddy. Cutest thing I have EVER seen. LOVE them.

Look what came for me today!

I am so excited for Ellery to wear this dress, it is so stinkin' cute! And what's even better is that it's from Grammy!!
Ellery is starting to think about the crawling idea. When she is sitting on her bum she will do the whole rocking thing and lunge forward and this is where it ends. She gets stuck on her tummy! She puts her arms down by her sides and gives herself a "arm kick-stand" and it makes her so mad. She also does this in bed and screams for us to come and put her on her back. Yesterday was so cute because I was at the kitchen table and instead of screaming. I hear this sweet little "Ma-Ma....Ma-Ma....Ma-Ma....." it was so cute she was calling for me. (Or so I pretend!)
Cute girl says THANKS Grammy!!!
