Sneaky, Sneaky, Sir!

My son has some kind of silly game that he has been playing the last week or so. He will go shut his door and play in his room for a while. (Nothing new there, he loves to shut his double doors and play in his room.) Well sooner or later he will open his door just a crack and sneak one toy at a time outside of his room and shut the door again. He will repeat this for quite a while, but if he catches you watching him it is over.

I have tried for days now to take a picture of this. But like I said if he catches you he is done and will just come out of his room. And well this time he didn't catch me spying on him!

This first picture is the start of the pile, remember this is one toy at a time.
Here we are about 10 minutes later. Now this is just a proud mom moment but if you look at the pile he has stacked his blocks "4" high. This is a new accomplishment. His friend Madelyn has some wooden blocks that he can stack up to 5-6 but his blocks are plastic and slippery and hard to stack very high (even for me) he has been stacking 3 forever and has just mastered the soft touch to get number 4!

PINK & 2 Months Late!!

I don't know if you all remember... but Porter did not care AT ALL for his Birthday Cake! About a week or more before his birthday he went on this kick where all he would eat was crackers, yogurt, bananas, applesauce, and chicken nuggets. It was so frustrating because Porter is such an amazing eater. He will eat almost anything you put in front of him. So of course he did not touch his cake (he ate teddy grahams instead.)
Well...I am happy to say that Porter gave me the best birthday gift this year. I'm sure I was much more upset with the fact that he didn't want his cake more than he was. We were going to do this for Jason's birthday last month and it didn't end up happening (Porter went to bed early.) I knew he had it in him. So here you have it, Porter going at it with a piece of my birthday cake!

Man I LOVE this boy! He makes me sooooooo HAPPY, I can't get enough of him. Overall my Birthday was great. It was a busy day of outings and such a blast with my 2 favorite boys.

The "cup" game

Porter and Jason's favorite game! I know I have posted about these stacking cups before, but honestly Porter can't get enough of them. I even went to IKEA and got him some new ones with really cute patterns and colors and he still prefers these silly dollar ones. It all started by Jason challenging himself to stack and balance all of them on his head. I guess Porter thought it would be fun to join in. This was right before bed so sorry he looks like a "Walmart" baby. (I hope you all get what I mean by that. I know you do Tiff, I stole it from you!)

Discaimer: I want you all to know that I really do love Walmart, I shop there every week. But lets put it this way, I would much rather have him look like a Target baby than a Walmart baby! Have a good day!

Did someone say girl!

So I have been really bored tonight, Jason is at a church meeting and I am sitting here watching Sixteen Candles and got the idea to take some pictures! All I can say is I am having so much fun getting ready to have this little girl. I can not believe how fast this pregnancy has gone. I am already 27 weeks CRAZY!!

A while back my friend Jessica had pictures of her daughter and her bows. I am a HUGE lover of little girls wearing headbands and bows (the bigger the better), so when I saw her post I thought it would be fun to post some of the bows my mom and I made.

I have never understood how when you walk into a clothing store and you walk over to the little boys side it is so small and the girls side is huge. You can pretty much guess that all of the cute boy stuff is picked over, which in turn means that every other little boy you see will have the same shirt, pants, etc. It has always been a pet peeve of mine. So I have to say that it is a lot of fun buying little girls clothing. This little girl is set, and I swear my little shopping fairy has been with me the whole way. I have found some incredible deals on little girls clothing. I think a lot has to do with the season change. These are her 2 drawers and then she also has stuff hanging up in the closet! Oh, and don't worry I had some help from my mom!

And last but not least....here is a picture of the belly. 27 WEEKS!!(Okay, this is so annoying, I cleaned my mirror this morning so I KNOW it is clean. So whats up with the picture making it look filthy!) I have to say that I have been really happy with this pregnancy and how much I have gained. I gained too much with Porter, but what makes it worse is the fact that I did NOTHING to work off the weight after he was born. But with this pregnancy I have been walking and trying to keep healthy and am quite proud of myself. I am not trying to boast whatsoever! All I have to say is before moving to Chicago Jason's family had family pictures and when we got them back I wanted to die! I honestly wanted to stop eating for the rest of my life, I was so upset with myself. I still hate looking at those pictures. So changing my lifestyle and only gaining 8 pounds so far makes me really happy. (They say for my pre-pregnancy weight I should only gain 15-20 pounds total, so not too shabby!) Enough about that stuff. All I can say is, I can not believe that there is another one on the way that I will love just as much as I love Porter, I love him so much and the thought of double the love for 2 children will be so AWESOME!!

Favorite Pictures!

TAG
I have been tagged by my friend Lindsey to post 10 of my favorite pictures, which is so pretty much IMPOSSIBLE to do. So here are just a few of my family favorites!

I had a thing for SNICKERS (and cookies) when I was pregnant with Porter so while we were in the hospital Jason bought me one and took P's picture with it! And of course our first picture as mother and son!
I just love, LOVE this picture of my Boys! It was so fun to see Jason in the hospital with his little boy!

Do I even have to explain? My sister came over to our house a few days after Porter was born to take pictures and this was towards the end of the pictures. Do you think he was done?

I have always loved this picture of my little Monkey, he is so sweet while he is sleeping!

Porter was playing with his toy and before I knew it, I looked over and he was asleep with toy in hand. ( I forgot how bald he got.)
Such a sweet face!

Honestly, I could care less about the picture except that I think Jason looks so freekin' HOT in it! (P.S. I really hate my brown hair, never let me do that again!)

And what can I say about these last 2 other than my baby boy is growing up! He looks so handsome and so BIG!

I now tag.....Michelle, Erin, and Carly Z.

Mr. Independent!

For some time now the only way to get Porter to eat is to give him his own spoon and let him dip it into his food and play around while we fed him. Well the other day he figured out how to scoop and feed himself! Here are some pictures of him enjoying his yogurt! (I LOVE the last picture, he is so proud of himself!)

Things you may or may not want to know about me?

I've been TAGGED!

10 years ago: I was in 8th grade at Eastmont Middle School, I remember some of my favorite classes were... Theatre, Dance, Home Education and Science.

Snacks I enjoy: Ice cream, donuts, rice krispy treats, twizzlers, skittles. (I am not much of a chocolate girl unless it is DARK chocolate!)

5 things on my to-do-list today:

1. Laundry

2. Make shopping list for tomorrow.

3. Get Porter on a better nap schedule (It's all Utah's fault.)

4. Make dinner

5. Go see 27 dresses with my friend Mary!

Things I would do if I were suddenly made a billionaire: Buy a house and second car, make sure my entire family was stable, give money to the church, invest and put tons away then SHOP, SHOP, SHOP!!!!!!

3 of my bad habits:

1. Procrastination!

2. Eating too much junk food.

3. Not remembering to take my pre-natals:(

5 places I have lived:

1. Orem, UT

2. Sandy, UT

3. South Jordan, UT

4. Provo, UT

5. Naperville, Illinois

Jobs I have had:

I have been a hostess, and the majority of High School I worked at a Day Care. I was a server at Mimi's Cafe, I have worked at 2 different mortgage companies as a receptioninst, Great Harvest Bread Company,(YUMMY!) a scrapbook company, MyFamily.com, Cottonwood OB/GYN. And of course the best of all a MOM!!

Things people don't know about me:

1. I have a really bad habit of seeing someone doing something, and thinking I have a better way or idea of doing it, and wanting to but in. Sometimes it honestly takes everything in me just to walk away.

2. Before I had children I used to watch kids shows all by myself. Some of my favorites would be PB&J Otter (I am truley sad this is not on anymore), Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Little Einstiens, Higgley Town Heros, Arthur etc. (That's really embarassing!)

3. I have a way of finding really good deals. I think it is because I go shopping all the time and probably know the contents of some stores better than the employees. Jason likes to say that I have a shopping fairy, and the only problem he has with this is....because I got it on sale, I just think that means I can buy more. (It's kinda true)

I TAG.....Carli, Haylee, and Lindsey!
