OBSESSION!

YOU WOULD THINK I HAVE THREE LITTLE GIRLS! Try one baby girl who isn't even here yet! I cannot stop! It is an addiction, I get such joy in the finished product! I know there are so many people out there making and selling bows (especially in Utah). It is not as big out here in Illinois so therefore, I figure that hopefully there are some people out here who see and enjoy these bows that I love to make SOOOOOOOO much! And will want me to make some for them. I am not banking on anything happening but I would love to do this as just a fun thing on the side.

Here are some of my recent favorites!

And here is my little man getting jealous of me taking pictures of bows. I think he is ready for me to be done! (Oh yes, that would be the "Little Miss" in front of Porter. I am getting huge!)

Mario Kart anyone?

After 8 months of living here Jason decided to break out his Nintendo. Porter already loves getting up and playing on our bed. But now that Dad plays Nintendo in the bedroom he loves it even more. He is so content holding on to the controller and sitting next to his Dad. Plus, now that it is out Jason and I have had some extreme Mario Kart parties when Porter goes to bed!!
He really thinks he's playing!
Just watchin'

Yes, I know he's in his pajamas AGAIN! Oh well, it is actually my favorite to have him in his pajamas, there is something about a clean little boy in his jammies!

Oh, the JOYS of being pregnant!

*36 weeks today, HOLY COW!*
The difference between BOYS and GIRLS!
So yesterday I took Porter to the park for our ward's play group. While I was hanging out watching Porter play at the bottom of the slide I noticed a little girl standing behind me (not in my ward). At first I just thought I was in her way, and scooted over. Come to find out she was kinda checking me out. When all of a sudden my stomach gets a little POKE. "You have a baby in your tummy... can I sit by you!" It was cute and no big deal. Well today Jason and I were at the mall, waiting for the elevator. When all of a sudden, as soon as the elevator door opens I see a little 3 year oldish, WIDE EYED little boy..."WHOA....YOU HAVE A REALLY BIG STOMACH!!!" he could not take his eyes off. Jason and I thought it was hilarious, while his mom was totally mortified! Too funny!! But I do have to admit I am getting ready to be done!
Porter's first run in with the cement, while playing at the park! It is a lot worse than this picture shows.

Porter at the Park

**Get ready for picture overload**
This park is so cool, and so close to our house. It has the coolest ground covering. It is like a spongy turf, that if he were to fall it would not hurt one bit.

He loved walking up, and RUNNING down the hill with Dad.

And leave it up to my son to be entertained by the simplest of things. You can't tell by the pictures but there is a steep edge to get from the wood chips to the turf. He was so content to walk up and down, and up and down FOREVER! And then of course clap for himself!
And this is what it looked like when it was time to leave. This is not like Porter, he is usually just fine to leave something that he is enjoying. But he was so MAD at us when it was time to go. Looks like we will have to return soon, and often!!

Adventures in BABYSITTING!

My little lover. So tonight our ward had an all adult activity, which meant Porter had his first teenage babysitter. Since we only have Porter right now, it worked out nicely to have one girl watch both Porter and our friends little girl Madelyn. Well to get to my Point...It sounds like the night went pretty well because when we came home Porter ran to greet us, and as I was holding him he leans over to his babysitter and gives her a BIG OL' KISS on the cheek!
To most people this doesn't sound like a big deal, which it's not. Don't get me wrong, I love that he is affectionate. It's just the fact that he does not do that to ME without some prodding. And he freely gave out kisses to this girl that he had only known for 3 hours. What the heck!

P.S. The activity tonight was the MEN'S cook-off. There were a few categories and Jason decided to enter in "Utah's Best." So of course we made some good old FRY SAUCE and Jason ended up winning 2nd Place to Joseph Jello (layered, multi-colored jello).

Mom's Big Helper!

Porter loves the broom! He had been obsessed for quite some time with our big broom. I finally remembered that we got this little one with our dust pan. Porter is in seventh heaven! I love in the second picture where he thinks he is throwing away the stuff he swept up.

And of course we don't just sweep the kitchen, we have the living room and bedroom!

***Disclaimer*** I promise my child has real clothes. He has been in his pajamas for like the last 5 posts. It just seems that he is doing cute things in the morning or at night when his P.J's are on.

These are a few of my FAVORITE things.....

So this is fun PORTER got tagged!

1. Food, he is a total social eater. He could have just had a huge meal, and will still go beg off of the person who has food.
2. His cow. (His wooden ride on toy he learned to walk with.) It has now turned into a "cart" he still pushes it around with his sippy cup or other toys on it's back. Forget sitting and riding it.
3. Sleeping, we will lay him down for his nap or bed time and he will kick and flap his arms and open wide for his Binky!
4. Binky's
5. Cars
6. Balls
7. Blocks
8. Shoes
9. Going "Bye-Bye"
10. Getting his back tickled.
11. Bananas, he gets so excited when he sees them in the grocery store.
12. Blowing kisses, more than just the hand gesture, he makes the biggest "MMMAAAA" sound. Probably the cutest thing you will ever hear and see.
13. Getting chased around the house, he will get so nervous and back himself into a corner and run back and forth GIGGLING the entire time.
14. Walking up the stairs like a "big boy."
15. Playing on Mom's and Dad's bed.
16. The broom
17. The IPOD, music in general.
18. The hairspray bottle
19. Opening and closing cupboards.
20. Remote controls
As you can see I could go on forever!!!! He is truly the cutest boy in the entire world. He has the funnest personality and is soooo sweet. You can always count on him to give you the best hugs and wettest kisses! I love him to death!!!!

Porter now tags.....KAITLYN, JACK, KAYDEE, and SOPHIE.

Blog Worthy!

One of my biggest frustrations as a mom has been that Porter would not drink his whole milk once he turned 1 without Carnation Instant Breakfast in it. This being because Porter is such a good eater, he will eat anything and everything. The only things I know that he hates are PEAS and COTTAGE CHEESE! And even then you can still get him to eat them if you mix it into his other food. He is a way better eater than his mom for sure! And this boy can eat, I swear sometimes he has bigger portions than I do.

I have tried everything to get him to drink Milk with out the instant breakfast. I never put a whole serving of the mix in, he only needs enough to taste. I talked to the pediatrician and he said not to worry and that Porter was in the 15% for weight and needed the calories. But it still bothered me to have to give him "chocolate milk."

Well.....that being said I'm sure you can all guess whats coming up next. This morning I tried once again to give him straight milk first (before giving in) and he CHUGGED it! Yeah!!!!!! I hope this is not just a one time thing. It made me so happy and gave me big hope for the future!
