Porter has the most FRUSTRATING HAIR ever! I don't even know the best way to describe it. It has a wave to it, and a few crazy cowlicks, pretty right? Not really! And to add to it he has quite the forehead. I love my little boy more than anything, and think he is the cutest boy ever. But he did not score in the hair department! So here's the question, keep on cutting it short or grow it out?
In this first picture it is kinda long, but if I were to grow it out I would let it get longer than that. And the other picture is just after a hair cut. WHAT DO I DO?
Help!! Please!!! What do I do with it?

Let it grow that way the cowlicks won't show up so much. Jackson has a big on back of his head and now that his hair is longer his hair lays down and its not as noticeable.
I like it short, but I don't have to deal with the cowlicks.
k, Jason, this is kind of random - and I totally feel like a freak blog-stalking and all, but this is Katie Jewkes Worthington! I found your blog though, well, now I can't even remember how I got here - but I was just clicking, and POOF! Anyway, I don't usually leave comments on people who I just randomly find their blogs, but I just thought I'd say hi to a fellow mid-westerner! We live in Rochester, MN! Only six hours away! If we ever come to Chicago, we'll look you up! We've been wanting to go forever. You have such a beautiful little family and it's fun to see what you're up to. Please forgive me for being a weirdo. :) Say hi at worthingtonfam.blogspot.com - but I'm warning you - I'm embarrassed at the crap I write on there! :)
First of all, I have to say that I totally get it, Hailey had the craziest hair forever. And then just when it started to get managable she cut it all of and we started over. So my sugestion is, hang in there, it will get better or maybe just cut it all off and see what happens, it worked wonders for Haileys hair:)
I have always loved how you do his hair and I like the short haircut better, but like someone earlier said - I don't have to deal with the cowlicks and craziness. Good luck :D
So, you dohn't know me. My name is Carly - - one of Michelle's friends since we were in 6th grade. Jason gave me your blog from Facebook, so I occasionally look at how cute your kids are.
Anyway, I have a 7 year old with at least 5 cowlicks!!! (And quite a prominent forhead too, I might add!) I have found that the best haircut for him is shaving it all off except for the front. I leave that a little longer, and spike it up. If you want to see you can e-mail me at carlyrobison@yahoo.com and I will invite you to my blog. Sometimes he tries to grow it out, but even her realizes that it looks best when it is short!
Good luck!
OOH, teerrible spelling. I guess I should preview BEFORE I post! Sorry!
Mindi--you know Porter always looks so dashing! I REALLY like how you can style it! I had no idea this was a point of frustration for you since he always looks so cute! I say short, yet long enough for the spikes...
Thanks for "teaching" me how to cut Carter's hair...Steve and I tried it again on Sunday...ummm...I think I need a refresher!
You're the greatest child hairdresser I know...and you could always hide the forehead with a kung fu bandana...hmmm...
Kerri
He is so dang cute both ways!! I love his hair short! Give him a big kiss!!!
